No Cook Night #2

On the heels of our very successful first No Cook Night, our second in the series, which will provide meals to all of our teachers in 3rd, 4th and 5th grades, will be taking place next Thursday February 25th (see flyer). Happy Groundhog Day!

We are officially at the midpoint between the winter solstice in December and the spring equinox of March. With all the snow that has fallen, the groundhog may be unwilling or unable to venture out of his cozy lair to check on his shadow! Maybe we are deservedly setting up for an early spring! As the well-known weather lore goes, if the groundhog emerges on a clear day and sees his shadow he retreats and we get six more weeks of wintery weather, if he does not see his shadow, then an early spring is promised. You can follow along for fun at groundhog.org to see what he predicts.
