Whole pizzas are available to purchase in advance and will be distributed at the picnic. You must order the pizza in advance - or bring your own picnic.

NEW THIS YEAR: We encourage any families — especially those with students who have sensory issues or other concerns, who may have been unsure in the past — to attend an HSA function this year. At our back-to-school picnic, there will also be an area near the picnic tables with bubbles and chalk for anyone who needs a DJ break. As a reminder, we do have a separate Kindergarten playground as well.  The Orchard HSA is happy to work with the Ridgewood SEPAG (Special Education Parent Advisory Group, formerly known as LSHSA) to make our events as inclusive as possible for all of our students and families.

Each year, Americans observe National Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15 to October 15, by celebrating the histories, cultures, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.

Why September 15? It is the Independence Day of five Latin American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua. Mexico celebrates its anniversary of independence on September 16 and Chile on September 18. Here at Orchard, we love to learn about other countries and different cultures.
